        Elke, SoundEagle hopes that both you and Neil have had an even more wonderful Valentine’s day this time. What did he think of the poem (assuming that you had recited it to him)? Please kindly give Neil a big hug from SoundEagle, who also wishes to inform and describe to him that another spring is just around the corner to greet him in the sounds, smells and warmth of Mother Nature, whose corresponding spectacles would be very much as he recalls in his mind’s eyes.         Thank you, Elke. This poem is a reflection of love and what SoundEagle felt around Valentine’s Day and at the time of writing the post, both by myself and with my beloved one. More specific words and dedications are reserved for SoundEagle‘s beloved one directly, and not to be shared in public (yet), as SoundEagle also needs to consider cultural norms and etiquette, if not privacy.

    Quite a compilation of recordings of LOVE LETTERS, including by the song’s composer, Victor Young. I own several of them, including Dick Haymes, whose rich, romantic baritone voice was quite popular in the 1940s, and Peggy Lee, who had an intimate way with a song like few others. Good stuff!

    If you connected all those videos, you could have romantic dinner music without lifting a finger. I especially enjoyed the piano with the music and the play along green and red dots. I also enjoyed comparing the different versions. I’m not a crazy Elvis fan, but his was my favorite vocal by far. Wonderful collection. Thanks, Sound Eagle.
