Judging by the Google street view of the road taken in December 2013, the tree must have been logged when the house was converted as early as 2008 from a colonial link house into a guesthouse and cafe called Reflection Guest House.

The house on 16 Phuah Hin Leong Road (潘興隆路) had continued to be the hub of numerous gatherings and reunions for my maternal relatives from 1957 to late 1990s or early 2000s. Judging by the Google street view of the road taken in December 2013, the tree must have been logged when the house was converted as early as 2008 from a colonial link house into a guesthouse and cafe called Reflection Guest House, located just a stone’s throw away from George Town, the capital, which was inscribed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 2008.
