🥳🪟🎖️ How to Enjoy SoundEagle🦅 to the Utmost 🥇🏢🍹

SoundEagle User Guide
Dear Readers,

Welcome! This guide serves to benefit those who visit SoundEagle🦅’s intellectual home, sonic nest, musical den and artistic eyrie so that they can become much more adept at spotting and making good use of the myriad bells and whistles.

May you soon become one of the “power users” of SoundEagle🦅’s website, seamlessly exploring anything of interest and completely at home with whatever fascinations or intellectual challenges that you may encounter when perusing any quantity of 📑Posts and Pages📃!

You may indeed perceive that SoundEagle🦅’s website is highly distinctive and intriguing as well as simultaneously impressive and challenging. As some of you are probably very well aware by now, SoundEagle🦅 likes to achieve a good synergy in presenting and balancing many diverse and complementary components, including but not limited to those pertaining to writing, because this website, whilst not lacking in textual information by any means, is also laden with graphics and multimedia as well as user interface and styling elements corresponding to thematic or topical requirements.

To assist you in getting to grips with SoundEagle🦅’s website, here are the recommendations:

  1. SoundEagle🦅’s 📑Posts and Pages📃 are being regularly improved, updated and/or expanded regardless of when they were first published. Therefore, it can be a very good idea and a highly rewarding exercise to visit existing 📑Posts and Pages📃 on a regular basis to discover for yourself some new surprises and delights, all awaiting you there. Those who ponder the question of what 📑Posts to read according to their areas of interest or expertise are welcome to click the following button:

  2. Since SoundEagle🦅’s 📑Posts and Pages📃 contain advanced styling and multimedia components plus animations, you should visit these 📑Posts and Pages📃 directly in the websites where SoundEagle🦅 has published them, so that you will be able to see and experience all of the refined and glorious details. The special design and its “look and feel” can be better appreciated in situ at the website rather than via the WordPress Reader, which often cannot fully reproduce the sophisticated results engendered by advanced styling and formatting plus dynamic animations, which are images and stories that are animated on their own. You will be shocked to see how much difference there is.

In a nutshell, visit SoundEagle🦅’s 📑Posts and Pages📃 directly rather than viewing them through the WordPress Reader, which cannot authentically and adequately reproduce the sophisticated look and feel of this website, because the Reader is not conducive at all to displaying webpages with advanced styling and formatting as well as animations.

  3. Use a desktop or laptop computer with a large screen to view the rich multimedia contents available for heightening your multisensory enjoyment at SoundEagle🦅’s websites, which could be too powerful and feature-rich for iPad, iPhone, tablet or other portable devices to handle properly or adequately.

  4. Click “About 🛅” to receive a good orientation plus useful recommendations on selected tools and features in order to be familiar with the nature and purpose of this website. The “About 🛅Page📃 explicates in detail the various functions and features of the website and its components.

  5. Use the following keyboard shortcuts for zooming in/out on a 📑Post or Page📃, and for viewing in full screen:

    Operation

    Windows & Linux

    Mac

Zoom In Ctrl and + and +
    Zoom Out Ctrl and and
Zoom Original Ctrl and 0 and 0
    Full-Screen Mode F11 ⌘ + Ctrl + F
  6. Peruse as much of a 📑Post or Page📃 as you can without skimming it. The longest 📑Posts and Pages📃 are effectively multimedia publications meant for serving users as versatile and comprehensive enchiridions or reference books. Well-formatted and in-depth discussions, analyses and conclusions aside, they contain plenty of hyperlinks, tooltips, quotations, charts, tables, illustrations, animations, infographics and bullet-point summaries as well as navigational menus. Each book-length 📑Post or Page📃 simultaneously exhibits the features and combines the functions of a long-form essay, investigative research, academic dissertation, scholarly monograph and dynamic web document.

  7. Click Submit Comment 💬 available in the top or bottom widget to submit your Thoughts💭 or Comments💬 to SoundEagle🦅 when viewing any 📑Post or Page📃. Alternatively, scroll to the end of the comment section to submit a comment using the comment box provided.

  8. Read some or all of the comments situated in the comment section of a 📑Post or Page📃 to get a good sense of the Thoughts💭 or Comments💬 of other followers and visitors.

  9. In certain 📑Posts and Pages📃, you will find one or more navigational menu(s) containing internal links, which you can click to jump instantly to different sections of the particular 📑Post or Page📃. By using the navigational menu(s), you can more easily resume reading from any point of a long 📑Post or Page📃 over multiple sessions in your own time. The following presents an example of a navigational menu available at the top and bottom of the expansive 📑Post entitled The Quotation Fallacy “💬”:

    Menu

  10. Hovering (with a mouse cursor or by other means) over a hyperlinked text or image may bring up a tooltip showing you additional information. So, it pays to hover on any item of interest to obtain extra information.

The following excerpt from the post entitled “🦅 SoundEagle in Earth Day 🌍🌎🌏” demonstrates the citation-sequence system or the Vancouver reference style involving the use of the bracketed and superscripted sequential reference numbers and the respective numbered entries in the reference list. Hovering the mouse cursor over where any of the reference numbers appears in the text will bring up a tooltip showing the corresponding full citation. This on-demand and in-situ feature enables the reader to see the citation proper without being interrupted by being taken to the reference list to see the same after clicking or touching the reference number to jump to the corresponding entry in the reference list, and then having to return to the point of departure by clicking or touching the caret symbol (^) at the right of each reference number in the reference list. In fact, this useful pop-up feature can even replace both parenthetical referencing or Harvard referencing and the citation-sequence system or the Vancouver reference style.

Earth Day is an annual day on which events are held worldwide to increase awareness and appreciation of the Earth’s natural environment. Earth Day is now coordinated globally by the EarthDay.org (formerly called Earth Day Network),[1] and is celebrated in more than 175 countries every year.[2] In 2009, the United Nations designated 22 April International Mother Earth Day.[3] Earth Day is planned for April 22 in all years at least through 2015.[4]

    References

Some tooltips also deliver full bibliographical information. Considering that certain 📑Posts and Pages📃 are very long and extensive, the provision of tooltips as a way of implementing citations using the combination of on-demand, in-situ pop-up references and hyperlinks is a matter of prudence and practicality to dispense with the overly expansive space that would otherwise be required to accommodate a bibliography or reference list whose entries are in the hundreds, which would have made any one of the already lengthy 📑Posts and Pages📃 even longer.

  11. Click an image or photo to see or comment on its larger version displayed in a carousel slider containing the title, caption and description as well as any available metadata pertaining to the photo, plus existing comments (if there are any). Try doing so with the following image:

SoundEagle in True Love Gem, Hearts, Circles, Rays and Swirls of Gypsy Delight
  12. A triangle bullet ► in front of an element indicates that the element is a disclosure widget from which the user can obtain additional information, controls or citations, and above which the cursor turns into a pointer. Click the triangle or the element to toggle between showing and hiding the content within the disclosure widget. Try doing so with the following examples:

  2. Hi SoundEagle – wow, your website blows me away. There is so much here, I appreciate your users guide. I know what you mean about updating things and no one would ever find out unless they came back to explore or check out a new post – which really doesn’t happen. There is reblogging – but, hmm. Anyway, I’ll see about having a look around! Thanks again! Donna

    • Dear Donna

How have you been lately? You are entirely correct in pointing out that people usually only read the current or latest 📑Posts, let alone the Pages📃 listed in the main menu of a blog or website, especially if they only visit most if not all websites via the WordPress Reader and never visit 📑Posts and Pages📃 directly in the websites.

Another irksome issue is that contemporary readers tend to lack the patience, stamina or intelligence to peruse expansive and complex 📑Posts explicating intricate subject matters with sophistication and nuance via the cogency of analysis and presentation, as they prefer something short and sweet with instant gratification. As stated by SoundEagle🦅 in the special post entitled 🔄📈📉 Change Rules and Moment Matters: How to Stay in the Moment 🔖🕰️🔂:

… the pace of population growth, social change, technological succession, information explosion and content oversaturation has caused everything to be even more likely to be cramped out of existence and to recede into the past, into oblivion, into irrelevance, into historical junkyards. Whereas data used to be most commonly sorted alphabetically or relationally, nowadays reverse chronological sorting has taken centre stage insofar as much of our lives is becoming a mediated reality in which the most recent information is listed first and given the highest priority or visibility. Nowhere is such privileging of the newest most glaringly adopted and thus saturating our daily lives than the news feeds and status updates in social media. Consequently, older information is often beyond easy reach or archived separately, accessible only via persistent scrolling downwards or through specific searches with keywords or dates, assuming that one could remember them or knew what to look for in the first place.

You will be pleased to learn that this User Guide has been further improved and expanded to give you more tips on the bells and whistles available to you at SoundEagle🦅’s intellectual home, sonic nest, musical den and artistic eyrie. Last but not least, you are still very welcome to join Sue in composing and dedicating a rhyming poem to SoundEagle🦅. There is really no need to bother with rhyming. Free verses or free form poems have their own charms when well done. Thank you in anticipation.

      • Hi SoundEagle! I’ve been well, thank you. Hope all is well with you too! I love your comment, it has some real grit and emphasis in there! Very well articulated and I couldn’t agree more. The pace of humanity has been speeded up to the point of barely even able to stop for that instant update post on social media. It’s off the charts. Emoji-itis – how about an icon instead of a writing anything!

I’ve come up with somewhat of a solution to people only reading recent posts and pages – I’ve made a “Reader Interest” tab in my blog menu. It helps people find posts of a certain category. Here’s an example: https://thepathtomyheart.com/blog/featured-posts/

That way, some of my worthwhile older posts get placed into a category where they can be easily found by people who are interested in that topic. Your information is vast, but maybe choose some of your favorite, and popular posts and give it a try. Who knows!

And yes, I, too am guilty of rushing. It happens.

      • Dear Donna

Thank you for your reply and compliment, as well as for mentioning your attractive “Reader Interest” page, which, as you can see, has been visited and liked by only SoundEagle🦅 and nobody else so far. This is not merely both prescient and ironic (since we are discussing about people not reading older 📑Posts) but also indicative of our closeness (as SoundEagle🦅 is still your one and only loyal patron there). In any case, your “Reader Interest” page is indeed “a solution to people only reading recent posts and pages”, to use your own words. Comparable to yours, the following are SoundEagle🦅’s solutions:

        Home 🏠

        🛍 Contents 👜💼🧰🎁

        📰 Recommended Posts ✅🪧

        📑 Posts

        📃 Pages

You are very welcome to visit and critique them to your heart’s content. There will be one more solution being introduced soon. Listing 📑Posts that have been academically composed, the forthcoming page is entitled “🏫 Academic Posts ☑️🪧” and will appeal to those who are erudite or academically minded.

Welcome! Thank you for showing your enthusiasm for and keen observation of the eye-catching presentational elements of SoundEagle🦅’s intellectual home, sonic nest, musical den and artistic eyrie.

The answer to your question is affirmative, for the eagle is encapsulated in a stasis field, which is a confined area of space in which time has been stopped and everything is motionless.

Since you “love the eagles”, one more has been added by SoundEagle🦅 to the animated scene for your enjoyment.

Considering that you are very fond of contents that are richly expressive, here are a couple of sumptuous visual feasts waiting to be delivered to you with vibrant graphics, animations, music and poetry:

May you indeed enjoy the two aforementioned posts to your heart’s content! • Thank you so very much SoundEagle, for exploring my plain Blog and liking so many articles.
When I started it in 2011, there were 14,000 visitors in that 1st year which doubled in 2012.
When Google changed their algorithm in 2013, my Blog no longer appeared in the search results of so many different search terms by people not looking for my Blog. Visitors plummeted by 2/3. They’ve being going down ever since.
This month, for the 1st Time in those 9 years, there were 4 consecutive Days with not one visitor in this Whole World, and 5 other Days with not one visitor.
Naturally I have to wonder what’s happening?

Since the Ukraine War started, The Washington Post suspended me from commenting twice for a week, and once for a Day, in addition to just deleting many of my comments going against the proscribed US/NATO War Propaganda Narrative, pointing out all the US SINS of Historical OMISSION leaving the Population in the dark about the seeds that were planted by the US/NATO years ago in the Tug of War with Russia over Ukraine.

  8. Incredibly deep world you’ve created. I’m still only standing on the shore of this ocean you’ve called forth from the void. Technology is a potential demiurge, a danger. However, you prove something else, that the artistic spirit, the intelligent human being, can traverse these dangers without becoming stuck. It’s your artful approach to technology that turns it on its heads and makes a good servant of what can become a monster in the misguided mind. You’ve provided a portal to an enlivening infinity and you’re a technology whisperer, capable even of turning the head of this anti-technology crank and opening his mind, thanks.

    • Dear Jeff

Welcome to “the shore of this ocean”! May you take a tentative step forward to dip your toes into its ebb tide to experience the synergy of art and technology in the aesthetic channelling of style and content via the multisensory and multimodal delivery of experiential learning and multifaceted communication.

This “[i]ncredibly deep world” also serves to accommodate the following mandate, as quoted from SoundEagle🦅’s “About 🛅Page📃:

The rich affordances and features available on this website constitute a multipronged approach for circumventing the many restrictions and conventions imposed by academic journals whose contents are often hidden behind paywalls, insofar as self-publishing certainly presents numerous advantages, which, when combined with the dynamic nature of webpages offering contents that can be freely viewed and shared by visitors and commenters, are attractive to the likes of SoundEagle🦅 who has been an inveterate freethinker, teacher and communicator.

Apart from the accessibility of academic works as mentioned earlier, this website and its 📑Posts and Pages📃 have also been meticulously invested with tools and presentational details to mitigate other extant issues that remain to be addressed by scholarly publications. Academic papers published in most if not all conventional journals tend to be highly limited in scope, format and feature, mostly presented in monochrome or greyscale and rarely in colour; cannot include large or complicated illustrations, maps, charts, schematics and/or statistics; unable to incorporate audiovisual contents, videos, animations, pop-ups, hyperlinks, comments, revisions, extensions, user interfaces and other real-time, dynamic or interactive components, let alone social media integration; and ill-suited or ill-prepared to deal with highly innovative, interdisciplinary and/or multidisciplinary works, not to mention that there continue to be few or no referees and reviewers qualified or knowledgeable enough to evaluate them properly and cogently without intellectual oversight and bias.

      Happy Exploring!

    • Dear Jeff

We can indeed concur that “[t]echnology is a potential demiurge, a danger.” Besides, the comfort or luxury of having great confidence in and solid allegiance with technoutopinism has so far eluded SoundEagle🦅, who would not hesitate to divulge to you that there are many areas of and causes for concern. In turbo-charging our vision and dream of the cybernetically enhanced existence in the near future, there are many things to ponder. For example, we could entertain some highly plausible dystopian scenarios with significant risks for the future of humanity.

In addition, SoundEagle🦅 likes to explore the intersections of art and science, of public and private spaces, of the cultural and the technological. Whilst one can reasonably concede that technology offers enormous unexplored potential allowing emerging artists to express themselves in unprecedented ways, SoundEagle🦅 has harboured certain concerns and caveats regarding science “reproducing” reality and artists representing it.

A special post offers a very good inkling of the kind of society that humans might be heading towards. Looking into the future, here is an entry in SoundEagle🦅’s sociology, philosophical anthropology and cultural history journal entitled “🎧 Facing the Noise & Music: Playgrounds for Biophobic Citizens 🏗🌁🗼🏭”, which provides a good glimpse of what the future might hold for humanity and machines as well as their hybrids via a detailed account of prospective changes in the ultramodern society at large. It is one of the 📑Posts belonging to Facing the Noise & Music category. Pushing forward another 50 years or (far) fewer, we could indeed end up in the scenario as described in the said post, when there will be plenty of far-reaching ramifications in multiple domains of human life, some of which are irreversible.

Moreover, there exist the complex and outstanding issues as discussed in an expansive post entitled 😱 We have Paleolithic Emotions; Medieval Institutions; and God-like Technology 🏰🚀, which highlights a sweeping indictment and a looming predicament of humanity woefully lost in and troubled by antiquated instincts, outworn customs and formidable contrivances, such that our paleolithic emotions are all too often the very source of our own undoing, both individually and as a species.

Last but not least, you will find the following post whose title simultaneously contains three neologisms even more illuminating about the multipronged challenges and predicaments facing humanity:

      Happy Exploring!

Welcoming you to “the shore of this ocean” in this “[i]ncredibly deep world”!
